Description
Puntos de vista is a complete B1 Spanish grammar lesson designed to help learners understand and use the present subjunctive confidently in professional and business contexts.
The resource begins with a clear reference guide covering regular forms, stem changing verbs, spelling changes and frequently used irregular verbs such as haber, saber, ser, hacer, ir, decir, venir, tener, conocer and poner.
Students then explore three important communicative uses of the subjunctive: expressing opinions and doubt, making evaluations, and expressing wishes or requests. Particular attention is given to the contrast between the indicative and subjunctive, helping learners understand why expressions such as creo que and no creo que require different moods.
The lesson includes extensive controlled practice followed by more contextualised activities. Students choose between the indicative and subjunctive, analyse the language used during a business meeting about a possible company merger, and identify the structures that trigger the subjunctive.
The final production task asks learners to prepare a five minute presentation proposing solutions to a fall in customer satisfaction, giving them an opportunity to use the target grammar actively in a realistic professional situation.
A complete answer key is included for the exercises and contextual activities.
