Description

A substantial 10 page B2 Spanish lesson designed to develop Spanish through the practical context of buying and selling property in Spain and Latin America.

The lesson introduces key vocabulary connected with property transactions, including boleto de compraventa, escritura pública, gravámenes, tasación, Registro de la Propiedad, seguridad jurídica, debida diligencia, servidumbre, tasas notariales and oponible a terceros.

Students then develop their listening skills through a text describing the different stages of a property transaction, followed by True, False or Not Mentioned questions and multiple choice comprehension activities.

The resource also gives students extensive reading practice using a boleto de compraventa, followed by vocabulary and detailed comprehension exercises. Students work with information about the parties, the property, payment, transfer of ownership, possession, registration and contractual obligations.

A further sequencing activity asks students to reconstruct the different stages of a property transaction, reinforcing both vocabulary and understanding of the process.

The final section introduces students to a Folio Real de Registración, giving them practice extracting precise information from a more demanding professional document, including ownership, mortgages, restrictions, easements and registration information.

Answers and the complete listening transcript are included.

The material is designed for Spanish language learning at B2 level. It uses legal and property related subject matter as a context for language development and is not intended as legal or professional advice.
