Description

A FREE 4 page A2 Spanish lesson designed to teach and practise comparatives and superlatives through an engaging professional and business context.

The resource begins with a clear grammar reference covering comparatives of inequality and equality, including más/menos… que, más/menos de, tan… como, igual de… que, lo mismo que and tanto/a/os/as… como. Students also work with superlatives and common irregular forms such as mejor, peor, mayor and menor.

Students then move from explanation to practical use. They research the Latin American companies Arcor and Bimbo, practise vocabulary, listen to an audio text and identify ten comparative structures in context.

A controlled grammar exercise provides further practice with different comparative and superlative structures. Students then read about the fictional infrastructure companies Ferrovías and Tecnovías and create their own comparisons using information from the texts.

The lesson finishes with a personalised production task in which students identify a competitor of the company where they work and compare the two businesses. Complete answers and possible model responses are included.
