La expresión del día: En negro

Colloquial adverbial locution: without regularization, outside the law. We use this locution in expressions such as trabajo/trabajar en negro and cobro/cobrar/pago/pagar en negro. E.g.: ¿Cuáles son los números del trabajo en negro y cómo incidirá la ley en la cantidad de jubilados del sector?: Which are the figures of unregistered employment and how will this law influence on the number of retired building workers?; …y los remiten a alguno de sus empleados que esté dispuesto a realizar el trabajo en su tiempo libre, cobrando en negro: …small, so they suggest an employee who is prepared to do the job in his spare time as long as he is paid ‘under the counter’. dc
