Description
A complete 5 page A1 Spanish lesson designed for students at the very beginning of their Spanish learning journey. It develops the essential language needed to greet people, introduce yourself, exchange personal information and talk about nationality, profession, age and interests.
Students begin with easily recognisable Spanish words before learning common expressions for greetings, introductions and farewells, including Hola, ¿qué tal?, Buenos dÃas, Me llamo…, Soy…, Mucho gusto and Hasta mañana.
The lesson then introduces personal information through structured activities covering name, place of origin, age, profession and city of residence. A clear grammar table presents ser, tener and llamarse, followed by controlled practice.
Students also practise nationalities, professions, numbers and age, before learning how to ask and answer essential personal questions such as ¿Cómo te llamas?, ¿De dónde eres?, ¿Dónde vives?, ¿Cuántos años tienes? and ¿A qué te dedicas?
Further activities introduce common hobbies and infinitives, followed by a listening comprehension in which students hear three people introducing themselves. The listening includes matching, multiple choice and verdadero o falso activities.
The lesson finishes with speaking, writing and final production tasks. Students interview another person, introduce their partner, write a short personal introduction and prepare their own profile. A complete listening transcript and answers are included.
The resource contains a linked listening activity, so internet access is required.
