Description
Contratos de infraestructura is a complete B1 Legal Spanish lesson built around the language of infrastructure projects, construction contracts and renewable energy.
Students begin by learning specialist vocabulary through an interactive external activity and then use that vocabulary to complete a text about infrastructure contracts. The lesson develops key language relating to contractual obligations, technical specifications, execution periods, payment, responsibilities, dispute resolution and applicable regulations.
The resource then moves into reading comprehension before introducing a detailed construction contract for a wind farm. Students work directly with contractual Spanish to identify essential information about the object of the contract, execution periods, payment arrangements, permits and licences, guarantees, termination and applicable law.
A substantial listening section explores the advantages of wind energy through ten multiple choice comprehension questions. The listening develops vocabulary connected with sustainability, renewable energy, employment, energy security and economic development, and the complete transcript is included.
The resource includes interactive external content and links, so students can move beyond the PDF for additional vocabulary and multimedia practice. An internet connection is required to access this external material.
The lesson finishes with a complete answer key in a compact format, making it suitable for classroom teaching, one to one lessons and independent study.
